help I'm unsure auto to manual will the ecu work iv found

I Have a volvo850 r n reg auto I'm now putting a manual gear box in iv been offered a Rica 304 ecu from a volvo850 r manual will this work in mine as mine is converted thank u!

Auto ecu will work in the manual, but not the other way round. But your current auto ecu will run with the manual box, you will just discard the auto's gearbox also i believe you have bypass the relay/wiring to the pnp switch to fool the ecu into thinking the car is in neutral otherwise it wont crank.

To fit a manual ecu in a auto you will need the manual wiring loom from the engine bay.

You can just link out a couple of pins on the auto box multi plug to get it to run with a manual box.

When i 1st did my conversion i went down the pnp switch route but later swopped to a manual loom very easy to do if you have the loom i would swop it, it splits under the ecu box.
