coolant warning light !!!!

coolant warning message
i got stop car safely and check coolant.
i did that and its full but message still keaps coming on.
any clue what the problem is.

Might be a faulty sensor

Have a wee look at it, it might be sticky and its saying its low

Is the temp going above normal?

temp was fine only done about 1 mile.
where is the sensor ? i have no clue

Havent got a clue mate, am thinkin its the same idea as brake fluid with the wee stick under the cap but then again a dont think it is

No one else got any ideas, its not like you lot not to have comment to make....

On mine it is under the expention tank, there is a float in the tank, very easy to take off, give it a shake then put back on.

moved tank and played with wires and no lite now strange..

Possibly dirty contact, bad wiring - glad it's nothing more serious.

No need to panic if the coolant level is ok and the temp guage rises normally and u got hot air from vents..Just drive it to the dealer.

Puegeots suffer with this prob too esp new 406. I believe the fault to be a temperature sensor.
