Hello All

Could someone enlighten me on fitment of later model alloy wheels to the 850.

I have a 1994 T5 Estate and have been offered and considering a set of Njord 18 x 7 with an off set of 55mm, of a 2012 S60, now these are obviously larger and wider in size and different off set compared to the old Columba wheels I currently have. I'm just considering a freshen up of the old girl.
My main concern is the width + the off set, which is probably enough to make decision not to go there, but I thought I would put it out there.

Here's a pic of the wheel,

Thanks in advance

Rob

They should be fine with 10mm whell spacers, as they're only narrow.

Doesn't the center bore need to be machined - out?

Have they got the Ford centre bore of 63mm rather than the Volvo's 65mm then?

I think so (bloody Ford ruining Volvos again ;))

I am not certain the 2012 centres are Ford. Best to measure them before you commit. Like Stribo said - the ford era Volvos (S40/V50/C30/C70) need to have the wheel centres adjusted because they are narrower than the 850 hubs

Hi Guys

Thankyou for your constructive comments.

They do have the smaller centre bore of 63.4, I think they are looking less likely a purchase.
Was hoping more for a plug and play setup.

I have another option on a set of meteor's, probably better to fit what I know.

Thanks

You can run pretty much any standard volvo alloy wheel up to 2007 - excluding the S40/V40 phase 1 (4 stud pattern). Pegasus are a very popular choice.

Wobbly Dave, I guess I can make them fit, but I am a bit restricted out where I live to having to stuff around with them, I am also very happy with the current drive-abilty I get from my 16's and fear a larger wheel around my locality my wreck my ride.
Plenty to weigh up I guess, would these be likely to rub the inner guard then, on turning to lock.

Well a quick update on my choice on wheels. I played it safe and went for a set of Meteor's, retrieved them from a wrecked V70R (875) 2000MY. Apparently not many of these came to Aus and what did come were mainly front wheel drive with a handful of AWD models.
Currently these are painted factory anthracite, and require a colour refurbishment which is my next step.
Thinking about changing to a factory silver colour just for a change.

Why people still put weights on the outside of the bloody rim is beyond me!
