Great Orme Run...any interest?

Hi all, I've been out of things for a while due to work commitments so need to get back in the seat. Its been so manic I've not even seen that nutter from Pwllheli who likes destroying tail pipes on country lanes :hilarious although I may swoop on him next week if he's up for a visit :-)

Any interest in meeting up for a run around the orme - would make good opportunity for videos pics etc and opportunity for me to catch up proper.

Golden Wonder still going strong - needs a good clean though...all that sheep sh*t in the boot etc

I will be in the T5-R this time, so if you thought the V70R awd was quick, you might need to think again by the end of the day. Could even take you for a run, but WD's car would be the best choice as that is amazing, hopefully back to good health by then.

I Would imagine the Shropshire and Mid-Wales crowd will be meeting up to convoy up, probably grab a coffee at the cafe by the saracen's head on the a5 then a lap of the evo triangle and then up to the Orme (or where ever Dylan wishes to meet up)
we probably do another lap or so on the way back. Times to be worked out later when we know Dylans plans. We could arrange to meet up with you and others on the way up if you like

Yeah the toboggans is right next to the dry ski slope on another part of the orme. There are many different ways to get up and around the orme :)

The car now needs three engine mounts and the front brakes have just gone.
And this is just the bits I know about.... I need to go over the car in detail, maybe change the front suspension too.

As I need to prep the car for the November track day this month is going to be expensive, so £150 in fuel might just be the tipping point.
(Plus I need to pull the VW apart).

My car is actually performing well going to Shrewsbury everyday & returning 28mpg which I'm Chuft about.
Just want the old girl home as its horrible coming home off afternoons to an empty house.
All for a good cause (we hope) & a baby biff will be joining us soon.

I was just in the process of working out a meeting time thought 10-10.30 would be a good time to meet at the cafe we used last year we can have a few runs around the triangle and then take a run up around the orme for 2ish and then a second visit to the triangle and toddle home via a nice looking road over to Ruthin and then back over horseshoe pass and back to the a5 at Llangollen, that should give everyone a bit of everything

I think as, I had hoped to do it this year as a weekender, I'll sort it out of next year and then people travelling fair distances can camp, have a tinny or 2 and enjoy 2 days of great welsh roads, or they can just meet and do a day if they wish or whatever bit suits them, we'll work a schedule out so people can come and go as they please so the maximum people can enjoy the event, as they can work it around their own commitments.

Any way a few more pics as I wasn't really fair to Tony making his car look like an offroader, by putting up a pic of him cresting a brow, the next pic is excellent as it the is ultra low with the suspension compressed

I can recommend a camp site, the one we stayed in at my stag do was awesome & excepts single sex parties.
It's in Dolgellau so be spot on to sample some good roads. :)
