I've just been round to a friends garage where they put together single seat racing cars.....they were prepping their old, hard tyres with this stuff:

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/tyre-treatments/demon-tweeks-grip-tyre-softener

You should see the results....WOW! Transform an old hard tyre into a soft grippy one, and makes the rubber look like the day it left the mold!

I should imagine this would do wonders for high powered FWD cars ;)

(apparently ;) )

Yeah, Mike said he used to use those sort of mixes, but this stuff is on another level. If you have a guage to test the softness of a tyre you can see the results as clear as day!

I'm sure it isn't because it's not legal on the road  haha

Wobbly uses it on his slicks, I used to brush my mix onto my tyres every night for a week before I needed them.

Yes my old rockhard slicks have come up a treat with it. I put it on with a small 6 inch gloss roller.

Can't see why you'd need it on the road.

I know what you mean, but even purely from an aesthetic view, it doesn't half smarten the surface of the rubber. Just a tad on the fronts couldn't hurt though :)

Looking to launch around 4.5K rpm at Santa Pod - see if I can't get below 2.2 on the 60ft
