Window has fell off the runner. Grrr

Had a nightmare today. This morning my door wouldn't close it felt like something was stuck in the hinges. Finally got it to close and thought nothing of it until I drove home and opened the window and it fell off the runner. Got home and took door card off to find a bent mechanism? The little blue clip that holds it on must be broke because I straightened the metal and fitted the clip again only for it to fall straight back off the runner.
Any ideas what might have caused it or how I might fix it?

Are you sure you you pressed the clip back into the runner far enough?.. on the older cars its a green one and you need to use a pair of large grips or similar to squeeze it in properly before fitting the regulator to it and then fitting the retaining clip. Fraid I've not seen a later window mech so this could all be a load of rubbish...

I had the same problem on my t5r after it was broken into. I think it was fitted right there's a circlip thing that keeps it on my heads baffled with it dunno what I'm gonna a need to fix it
