Im just about to buy a 2002 v70 t5, but after reading ( on various sites ) the seemingly constant issues with them, im beginning to think i should go back to an 855 t5. Much simpler in terms of electronics !!! Whats your thoughts?
Thanks.

I don't regret buying mine. Although mines a p2.5 so all electrical gremlins have been sorted.

You know my opinion mate ;)

If you get a good one they're great, if you get a bad one, you'll need to sell a kidney and possibly your first born to sort it ;)

Ive got a 53 plate T5 (just before the facelift!) and can honestly say ive had no electrical issues as of yet.

Great car and cheap for the amount of car and kit you get!

Yes, buy one but make sure the suspension is in good condition first and the Gearbox isn't grinding.

The only electrical gremlin you could get is the DIM (speedo). If yours has chrome rings around the dials, it'll be fine as it's been replaced already.

...And that it idles properly and the speedo works as it should, and the fuel gauge reads ok...

And according to JamesT5 and Leeds_finest, is there not a slight issue with the ETM??!!
