A question for both Jim and Andrew, what size tyres did/will you go for? I know on the s60r they are a 235/40/18, whats the ideal width of tyre so there's no rubbing on full lock at all?

BlackBeast, I asked about going upto 235/40/18 but because i've had her lowered and they did rub very slightly on full lock with 225/45/17, they advised me to stick with 225/40/18.

They seem a decent lot, shame its a bit of a trip away, they offered to turn me wheels round every 3 month for free. Very impressed with them.

I think we should do a sticky thread so people can do a search as this question comes up often,
In my experience I bought 18" nebula's off a guy with a P2 V70 they were fitted with 235/40/18, they rubbed like mad on my S70, so I fitted 5mm spacers and they only rubbed on full lock, Sold these and fitted 18" Triton's with 225/40/18 rubber only had slight rub on full right lock, now have replaced tyres with 225/35/18 bingo correct tyres no rub and speedo now reads true.

Gary - with the 225/35/18 rubber do you still use the 5mm spacers?

No the spacers went when i sold the Nebula's, 225/40 and 225/35 are ok,
You could always fit steering lock stops from Volvo, they are just nylon spacers, Or look at it this way how often do you turn too full lock and at what speed? nuff said.

My 225/40 rub, but they'll soon wear down, and I'll get 35's :D

I do like that little bit more protection of the 40's though. Pot holes dont seem as bad!
