Checking auto gearbox fluid level

Hi all, I've done a search to no avail so what's routine for checking the auto gearbox level on my 2000 T4? It's not covered in the handbook, is it the same as my V70?

hot and running i would imagine

Some have electronic now, but most cars with autobox the same.
When hot.
I usually do it when engine is off for 5 minutes but still hot.
Worked ok so far in over 20 years.lol

Well it's got a dipstick so I'm going with same routine as my V70, hot and engine running and in park.

And go through all the gears couple secs in each gear.then neutral,as you say engine running and nice and hot.

Got it sorted, I took just under a litre of fluid out to get it down to the right level!!!
