Hi just had my wheels refurbed, absolutely cracking job...... But not sure if they are too dark as I'm used to light grey!!!

The photos don't do them justice as I've had extra metallic sparkle added ( because I'm a girl)

I like them, wheels always take some getting used to when they go darker.

Very nice Neal, I'll take your word for it with the sparkles as the pics look like someones blown clear lacquer over grey primer lol but the finish looks spot - on :D

Go get the good camera...

Go on :)

As Martin says cant really make out the 'Magic Sparkle' but the finish looks spot on and they don't look too dark IMO.

Bit of tyre shine would do that pic even more justice. They look damn fine buddy!

Looks like a good finish, is it powder?.. I had some Volans powder coated a long time ago, mine came back looking like shiny primer. I was so unimpressed I took them home sanded them down and repainted them myself...

Still not sure!!

They were stripped of tyres, dipped to clean off all old paint, refurbed and then painted, as I didn't like the finish of the powder wheel I'm display, £30 a corner

Actually mate, they look really nice on the car. And for £30 a corner, a bloody bargain.

The finish looks nice, however in my honest opinion they dont suit the colour of the car... look a little too boy racer on a red car?

At that price you could get them done again and it would still be cheaper than what most firms charge !.

kinda think the black of the car strips look wrong now should match the wheels

Sharkey R

not dark enough lol

Any darker than they are and you lose the definition of the wheels though. I think they look spot on. They also make the trim look darker which makes it look cleaner.

Looks very good to me against the red paintwork, leave them on!

Having said that, I would have gone for a darker shade of silver. Excellent job at any price by the looks of it, certainly £30 a corner is brilliant - would like them to do mine if not too far from me.

I think it looks really nice, personally I prefer the wheels to be lighter than the tyres so you get the definition between the wheel and the tyre, and the tyre should ALWAYS be darker, more black if you will, than the wheel for the right look, which is exactly what you have ;)

That's betterm!, tbh I think it was the shade of the grey they'd used rather than how dark it was. It looked kinda like a bluey grey in the photo's and it just didnt suit.

Yeah I think that it was the colour that was putting me off, it reminded me slightly of MRPs gay blue wheels of yesteryear lol

nice one :B_thumb:
i got a heat gun on my bumpers and then some snot and they are a nice grey now but i want black and the heat gun doesn't work on trim or door handles either so its all different shades of grey....
