How do you stop the rear pads from sticking on as it is doing it on rear driver side haven't checked passenger rear yet

Are you sure it's the pads, and not the handbrake shoes.

i thought that, haven't some been known to lock the brakes once the shoe delaminates & jams up in the drum

Took the caliper off and rotated fine and freely and it is 6 liters of oil in a v70 t5 2002

It'll probably be the caliper sticking then, you could just try taking it off, and copper greasing the slide bolts, if that doesn't work, it'll either be a rebuild or a new caliper. T5 takes 5.8 litres of oil.
