Looking to buy a high mileage 168k S70 T5 Auto with superchips chip fitted, anyone else have one of these, are they any good.
Had a RICA in my 01 V70 T5 manual 78k,not very impressed at the Pod dropped from 16.8 to 16.3 with free-flow air filter and an empty fuel tank.My standard 850 t5 did 16.1 at 270k miles!
Nice M5 for sale on e-bay!

Superchips just fit a boost cut board and then increase the boost with a blead valve, very crude and no way worth the £500+ they charge for it !

Not saying dont get the car just as soon as you do get it to Rica or one of the other leading chip tuners and get that ££££ty Soggychip removed and a Big Mac Daddy one fitted.

Just my penny's worth thou :hidesbehi

Regards

If you were only hitting 16's at the pod even with RICA I would suggest that your car wasn't running spot on as even some of our standard cars are hitting high 15's. The RICA'd versions are hitting the mid 14's!!!

It was fully serviced at Bromsgrove,it seemed to be fast in 1st and 2nd and then ran out of puff afterwards, running on Optimax.
Anyway,thanks for advice.

Something else must be wrong as 1st never feels that quick 2nd just getting a nice boot in the back but done and dusted quickly and 3rd getting real hard boost and 4th should be good as its a nice long gear, and 5th should pull hard from about 90 +

My V70 in stock did 15.3 & 94 mph with 127k at the pod and I read somewhere that an S70 T5 will do 14.9 & 96mph stock and o-60 6.5 manual.
This was when the vehicle was new!
