I'm currently looking at hid kits for my ph1 v70r. I've ordered a load of led lights for my interior, side & number plate lights but it made me think, if I fit hids will it interfere with my dash lights?
Cheers.

Silly question graham & Martin but were they still h7 in the projector headlights? I want the chrome the same as Graham's eventually you see.

Yes, still H7.....there are different bulbs though for projector and non-projector headlights iirc they are H7R bulbs for the reflector headlights.

I went for 5000K and am very pleased, 6000K will have a more noticeable blue tint.

I'll replace the ballasts as & when really. I read Martin uses 4800k & to be honest I don't want burn your eyes out bright. I hardly drive in the dark in summertime anyway. Lol
Thanks for the info, just didn't see the point in fitting them if I was going to have to replace them come the time I have the funds for new headlights.

They won't now though as it came into the test a couple of months ago (unless they are originally fitted but you have just changed the bulb temp)

I really don't want them bright, if needs be I'll get a separate high power main beam. A few of the local boyo's have a million kalvin head lights that burn your retina's out on low beam, it's just not a good look in my opinion.

Very subtle the chrome ones. I think I'll get those eventually. Bloody expensive though new. Lol

I've got some 6k HIDs in my ph1 v70 and I don't have any problems off the old plod for them, never even batter an eyelid and they're on all the time

They've not brought any dash lights on either :)

Tidy, cheers mate. I've ordered some 6k ones so hopefully old bill will keep they're eyes off like they do now.
