My comp usually gives me around 50miles on the range per £10

A put £20 in today when a had 45miles left and it said 145>0

Al be lucky to get 80 miles out that £20 but if you want a car like these its the price you pay unfortunately.....

Hm. If that is the case why isn't everyone using it. More to the point, why hasn't Shell or BP put it in their latest new brand of fuel and declared it a miracle in the world of petroleum products?

Going back to MPG it really depends on the big how when and where. If you dont use the turbo much and acceleate with 1/4 throttle 30-40 mpg is possible. Ie you stuck in slow moving traffic not accelerating hard use 5th at 35 mph!
If you use full boost on a long run and drive like you are on the race track you will see less than 20mpg, Ive managed 17mpg on private tracks of coarse, On a similar route Ive done 34 mpg but there was cars on the road, but I can drive carefull urban and achieve 23-24.5 mpg!
Depending on my mood and where Im driving and many other factors £20 gives around 65-120

This is a pain with the T5. You just want to drive it properly, like it was intended, but always worry about fuel. Takes the fun out of it IMO.

Smuggly, I averaged a 100mph trip home from somerset the other day & got an avereage of 34mpg out of the old oil burner. Not one thing went past me. Point to point speed, you can't beat a diesel. Not because they're quicker, because you have to fill up less!

Went to Somerset on Saturday last. M5 South cruise control set at 70 mph. car returned 34 mpg, that is a personal best.

Bit of running around at that end and return journey 31.7 mpg overall.

Start commuting to work and into the high 20's so all relates to the driving conditions and how often you apply the loud pedal
