The flip side to this is that bigger wheels can ruin the ride. I swapped my wifes 15''s on her old MX5 for 16s and the car was more or less undriveable on our country lanes.
Amazing how much difference 1 inch can make (ooer missus!)

There speaks a man who hasn't been in my 850.....lol, the ride is like a limousine even with the pegs on (in comparison to the 850)

reminds me of mine when it had pegs on. except i didnt have mrp style suspension. looks good

My Dad swapped the 18 inch rims on his Skoda for 16 inch rims because the pot holes kept shredding his tyres.

Perhaps a pair of glasses might have been a cheaper option. :)

I had a spell of killing pirelli pzero's on the t5r, catching the sidewalls pulling over to the side when meeting on coming traffic that was out to wide in our narrow lanes, side walls where all to easy to damage and repairable, so started buying budgets as £35 was alot easier to swallow than £109 a time, the other option was to become a less curtious driver....lol
