SRS light on ???

my srs light is on in the derv and its apparently a failure on mot but a friend said its possibly just a fuse gone so on checking the fuse its fine but all plugs under the seat are fine im now out of ideas any ideas would help thanks dan

It's a 2000 mk1 v70 2.5D

i had the srs light on too but nothing wrong just tripped a wire on the connecter under one of the seats when hoovering
my local stealer turned the light off for me
