Tyres

I have 215/40/17's on at the moment,they are due for a change. I am thinking of putting on the volvo recommended 205/45/17's to soften up the ride a bit.Will it make a difference or is it much the same?

I think tyres are very much a personal preference for the most part but it's always nice to stick to the recommended ones for the wheels.
