One of the many faults on the V70R is that the central locking isn't working properly, I thought it was related to the wiring fault on the windows but after fixing that the central locking is still playing up. When you press the fob to lock the doors they all lock, however when you press it again to unlock the two front doors stay locked. I've had a listen today and I can here the motor going when you unlock them but the doors dont actualy unlock.

Anyone got any ideas what's wrong with it?..

Nobody know how to reset the central locking?, I've tried disconnecting the battery for a few hours but that does nothing. This is really starting to get on my wick now so any help would be appreciated.

It's driving me up the wall, everything works except for the fact that it wont unlock the front two doors, it'll lock them but wont unlock them.

my guess would be there is either a wiring fault on the unlocking side from the reciever to the motor or the receiver is fubared

There was a wiring fault on the front door, caused the window to stop working and also the central locking to miss behave, wiring is all sorted now but the central locking is still not working as it should. I think the unit needs resetting to I have no idea how to go about it. I did once find something on the VOC about re setting the central locking but that was at the time when I didnt know what was wrong with it, now I've repaired it I can't find the damn article any more.

Do the front doors unlock when using the key in the drivers door? or when using the lock button on the window switch pack?

And have you tried locking/unlocking the tailgate? (used to happen on my 850, it would 'lock out' the system, until eventually it failed altogether and I needed a new tailgate lock)

If I use the key it still doesn't unlock the passenger door, I have to unlock that by hand. Not tried the tailgate lock yet.

Possibly the motors need replacing. My 940 had a problem where the door would lock but not unlock, when the motor locked the sinternal slide would be too tight against its base and the motor wasn't strong enough to move it. I tried several times to grease it up and fix it but had to get another motor in the end.
