Any ideas please, got this minor oil leaking from this aluminum grommet, I appreciate that the rocker cover could be removed and aluminum welded, but could there be an easier fix, worth asking?

You sure its from the grommet, and not the oil filler cap seal leaking? also when was the pcv last done

Depends what job your looking for tbh, you could always try cleaning the area with brake cleaner to remove the oil, then apply a smear of sump sealant to the area and see how that goes, that said it wouldn't be a particularly good finish but under the spark plug cover it wouldn't be visible. Of course the other option is to remove the rocker cover and have it welded up but then you risk introducing new oil leaks into the situation as result of breaking the deal between the head and rocker cover if not repealed correctly when refitting...

Thanks for your reply Andy, but Si stole your thunder, that is exactly what he's done this afternoon, so we'll give it 24 hours to go off and see what happens. Will let you know.

Sorry to say but no matter what you put in there the oil will always find it's way back through, i had similar and tried everything including liquid metal stuff and always came through eventually.
