Despite my efforts to routinely run the 850R the battery has died.

I've charged it but it wont come back to life.

Just wondered if there was any tricks to try and save it or is it game over?

It had only just been replaced before I bought it so I'm a little gutted.

Thanks

Timo.

I always try to disconnect or remove the battery if the car is going to be standing a while, as the clock and alarms etc are constantly draining the battery and when it completely drains it, it deteriorates quickly, to a state which then won't hold a decent charge. I have killed a number of good batteries leaving cars parked up and learned my lesson now and disconnect them now and sometimes swap them into other cars to give them a running charge. Think your battery unfortunately is passed recovery, hope these tips help keep the next one alive longer.

Well, today I put the battery on the car. Jump started it and let it run for 10 to 15 minutes.

Turned it off, re started under her own power.

Have taken the battery off, checked the voltage (12V +)

Stuck it back on my mains charger and seems to be charging so far.

Fingers crossed.................
