Driving along this morning, suddenly lost all power and the engine died. Lambda light on and 3rd gear arrow showing. The engine starts and fires but after 3 seconds dies again with the same symptoms. Got the friendly AA guy out to take a look, and he seems to think it is over-fueling. He read the fault codes but nothing showed up. On a hunch, he disconnected the MAF sensor and it runs ok, as soon as the sensor is reconnected, the engine cuts out. Re-read the codes and two showed up

P0103 Air Flow Sensor (obvious because it's not connected anymore)
P0243 Turbo Solenoid A (although this could be because we were revving the engine without the MAF connected)

The car seems to be running fine without the MAF for the moment, gonna book it in for a diagnosis tomorrow but I was just after any second opinions/confimations that anybody may have

It was a faulty MAF sensor as suspected, replaced with a new one and all is right with the world again :-)
