I think you might need a bit more than a map for that!

Tony.

Without a doubt. He has doubled the standard power i'd be over the moon if i made 330bhp ish

To be honest, it didn't look like a 500bhp car to me.

How much is that? The Autotec map is £300 from HLM so whatever you pay over that is for 15 bhp or less. :cuckoo:

Quoted from an email, my mistake it's 330 not 335bhp
"You get outputs of 330bhp with 480nm of torque with MTE's stage 1 on these later engines. Presently I am charging £395 including VAT for both Stage 1 and 2.

You need a full replacement exhaust such as the Ferrita stuff that I stock to run stage 2 which does not give you much in increased outputs but is usefull in maintaining outputs in warmer weather or when pushing on a bit when otherwise the ECU would pull back on targets if it senses or predicts rising temperatures."

That is from the Mte dealer, you know who I mean. I would have considered the autologic but since I have emailed Hlm and had no reply, and asked them on there thread about their new website if they now tune ex plod cars and had no answer then I don't think I will use them again. Have had a "custom" lol map and a 304 from them in the past and think it's time I see what the MTE Hype is all about :) or i might even change my mind again and go to shark, who knows lol

I thought those figures were with all supporting modifications etc etc not just the map!

Not on the 2.4 p2.5s he even reckons "You can run with stage 2 software without the exhaust if you are having to budget to add that later."

And you get a rolling dyno to prove the power too

I don't think he tunes ex police cars, according to his old website anyway. Tried emailing for a quote and had no answer

Doesn't say they don't on their new site, so I asked and still had no answer. Had no problems with him in the past just think this time I'll pay the extra £100 and go MTE :)

Bigger turbo, decat, greens and a custom map will make that figure. Autotec map for mine will make about 288 bhp. Which is still nice :D

This is the one Smithy, you don't need 500bhp to do this though, my old one would do similar on stock tyres with 313bhp lol This vid always temps me into another 850 just because of the awesome 5 pot noise!
