I have removed the armrest to ashtray, and If I can suss it out, then I'm sure you can. The only problem I had was the bit of trim to the side of the handbrake lever. Think I started with the screws under the back seat, then the armrest area/handbrake, and then the ashtray area.

2 screws are under a flap inside the armrest cupby hole. Prize the flap off. IIRC there are also 2 retain screws at the far end under the back seat - so you'll have to pull the bottom cushion out (it comes up with sharp tug).

using a prying tool, pry the grey plastic surround around the handbrake lever towards the passenger seat.

unclip the gear lever gaiter.

lift the whole lot from the rear of the unit. Slide it backwards & it should clear the locating lugs at the front.

ps getting the surround out around the rest of the console is a bitch. They are secured with torx screws that were originally assembled when the dash was out.

Looks great, but someone suffering from OCD may point out that your cigarette lighter needs turning through 180 degrees. ;)

BTW have you done the trim behind the front armrest between the rear footwells?
