ive found a free program for remapping may not be any use for most of us, dont think ill be trying to do it myself anyway hhaha.
but it has aload of write ups and instruction documents which might be a good read to help understand the process of it all a bit better

Been using that one for years, beware there are some errors in some of the map locations as it says its experimental, but its good for visualising the maps.

Then all you need is a chip programmer for M4.4 ecus (cheap off ebay) and some chips/sockets (couple of quid each) or use the flash tool for M4.3 ecus and you're away :D

The hard part is changing the maps without killing your engine :S

i think the hard part is understanding what the hell its all about, ive just been reading the instructions and i dont have a clue what so ever

Think the ME7 part is still in development, have had a look at a couple of ME7 maps on it.
