Hi guys
Just been informed that box is about to die. Something to do with Crown gear. right my main question is, can i get replacment parts or is it possible to use parts from any of the other boxes? or do i need to try and sorce a replacment. its a M59.
thanks guys :worried:

It can be fixed as anything else mate but sometimes the cost of parts doesn`t make it worthwhile and its cheaper to get e diff box.M56 r stronger and much cheaper.

best just stick an m56 in there mate, cheaper and stronger, and any m59 you do find will be half worn out anyway ive broke 2 m59's myself

the bad news is no, you can't buy new replacement parts. But yes as the ratios are exactly the same as the T-5 M56H (with 4.00FDR) chances are they'll be interchangeable from a good secondhand box. The main difference is the M59 has a special casing for the viscous coupling to lock into thats on the longer driveshaft

yeah you will, but so what? it doesnt make alot of difference in real world driving, the aftermarket ones are 700 quid plus fitting
i put a 2.0 litre 20 valve m56 in my s70r because it had lower gear ratios for better acceleration

thinking about it, i've got the full internals from a M56H (except diff) gathering cobwebs if you want them
