Is my SC 801 stereo knackered ?

I`ve got a SC 801 stereo, when it`s switched on it says "repeat"

Is it knackered or just needs its code ??

Mine said that once after i reconnected it, i unplugged it and tried again and it asked for the code, still works now but ive got a very irritating squeal coming from it....

Being 24 i dont own any Celine lol!
Its fun lovin criminals on the media changer for me!
I do have a queen tape though...
