I have a squealing, high pitched sound coming from the belt area of my 940 2.0 Turbo, that is driving me around the bend.
The car is fine for about a mile, then this god awful squeal starts. It sounds like a bird under the bonnet. I've changed the belts and adjusted them but the sound is still there. it happens at all revs, stationery or moving, but disappears when you stop, but starts again when you rev. I dont want to swap out everything on the front of the engine and just wondered if anyone has experianced the same issues?
Cheers

Could be the water pump or alternator. Both easy to change. You could try a small amount of wd40 on the belts to see if the squeal stops (to rule them out)

Check the tensioner on the cam belt too.and when you have sorted that problem out stick an mbc and crank up the boost lol
