Rear main seal

So Frankie was gonna be replacing my PCV system tomorrow but this morning the car decided it didn't like the oil being in the engine and its dumping it all over the floor.

Is the rear main seal when oil is being pushed out by the flywheel?

It's in the garage now, hoping it was gonna be something simple.

How big of a job is the RMS to replace? I know it needs the gearbox off, which it turn means may aswell do the clutch aswell but i wanted to do a SMF conversion later on it the year.

I just dont know what to do at the minute, i hate the car at the minute!

yep theirs a small hole in the bottom of the gearbox casing, if the oils coming out of that then its the RMS gone. Its a gearbox & flywheel off job so might as well do your SMF now

I dont have the parts to do it at the minute, thats why it was gonna be later in the year.

I only had vague details at the minute, could there be another reason why oil is §§§§ing out at the back of the engine?
