Hi everybody, joined this web site forum sometime ago and have found your discussions very helpful. I am a Volvo 850R enthusiast and have a few. Does anybody know for sure how many 850R manual versions actually came into the UK? Have looked over the internet and found a site that takes info of the DVLA to give approx figures for how many 850R's are still out there but they don’t differentiate between auto's and manuals. We all know the manual is more desirable to own! But just how many are left is difficult to judge! Anybody have any clues as to the exact number that came into the UK? Thanks

Timo.

Thanks Timo.

I have seen this sites info, but something is possible inaccurate because according to a previous thread on this forum;

http://www.vpcuk.org/forums/showthread.php?2777-F-A-O-all-850R-owners

Only 192 in total, Autos and Manuals came into this country. So I began to think the "howmany" website may not have an accurate picture, its possible they have the 850R-auto and 850R-man in both catagries

I also own an 850R manual and have wondered how many came here originaly. Would be nice to clarify how many in total were produced as details are sketchy at best. Ive heard if you email volvo UK they will respond eventualy with the answers..

I was told there was only 16 but doubt if that's genuine. I've been in touch with Volvo and they said they don't know. Apparently they even spoke to their head office in Sweden and they don't hold the records! Either they genuinely don't know or whoever was dealing with my enquiry wasn't interested.

This was sent to me in 2009 when I had my T5R by someone who claimed that, "I have attached a file that I got from a marketing group that is supplied data from the DVLA about car information"
I have posted this before and people doubted it, obviously this was 4 years ago but there was 669 850R's, many will have bitten the dust by now though.

Sorry about the quality I don't know how to upload the spreadsheet so I just took a pic lol

Interesting stuff. That spreadsheet looks quite beleivable actualy when you think the cars would have been 14-13 years old in 2009 and many would have bitten the dust. If thoese figures are correct my grey 855R manual is a rare beast. but i guess we will never know for sure..
