Hi all,

well I picked this up few weeks ago:

and I have been busy getting it looking better, not great ( yet ), but better:)
Cleaned it for a start! I managed to get a whole binbag's worth of rubbish out of it! :(

I have resprayed the panels under the lights
changed the front grill
removed the moose,T5 and rica stickers
emptied the catch tank (yuk)
removed Boost gauge
fitted a TC splitter
lowered it 40mm
put the titans on, only cos they have legal tyres on! lol
and more importantly, added a sticker:)

so it now looks like this:

looked into a central locking issuse to find these in the doors:)

also fitted the R spoiler, but I'm not convinced its sitting quite right?

and anyone have any views on the tinted windows??

The car is looking great and you must be pleased with how she's come on. When I first saw the tints, my initial reaction is that I like them. I'm buying merc85's gul 854 t-5r and have mentioned having that car tinted, but been strongly advised not to, to keep her original. However, yours is already tinted and I'd leave them IMO.

I have almost the same alpine HU. i also added the ipod adaptor which allows full scrolling features.

Looks nice, R spoiler sets it up nicely from the rear and the Titans actually look nicer than the Volan's although that maybe just because the car is lowered and cleaner.. Not sure tbh, very nice though. Any other plans, other than removing the tints ;)

New rear main seal
R clutch
2 replacement drive shafts
50mm alloy IC
new PCV trap
Quickshift plate
Side shift mod
Powerflex gearbox tie-bar
Replacement polybushed front ARB
New track rod ends
1 piece exhaust manifold gasket
jap exhaust manifold
solid subframe bushes
Replacement arch liners
302 conversion
braided brake lines
10mm spacers front
15mm spacers rear
new TC splitter
headlight eyebrows
carbon cam cover
carbon TB cover
TT ecu


wind deflectors were fitted, but didn’t like them, so removed

all added to existing mods:

powerflex Top Mounts
catch tank
Apex lowering springs (40mm)
Do88 RIP kit
K&N induction kit
Walbro fuel pump

just need to sort out the ABS fault and get it MOT'ed! :)

Glad to see my old 850 id still going JT im glad you are taking good car and spending a far load off money on it. You said you have fitted a R clutch i know they are stronger than and standard T5 clutch but it wasnt all that old. As when i brought it the old one was so heavy and i fitted a second hand gearbox as it was jumping out off second on the over run. I got it from a bloke who lived in doncaster. How long did you have it for Louie?

I swapped to an R clutch, as it was laying here doing nothing,so changed it as I had the opportunity with the engine out:)
removed the DMF, while I was at it too.
