I knew my driver's door window switch pack was dodgy, especially with the nearside rear window. Anyway, thought I would mess with the switch whilst parked on Thursday, and the n/s rear window dropped by a couple of inches, but wouldn't go back up, no matter what I did. Off to my local Volvo indy who fortunately had a used switch pack on the shelf. He fitted it and problem sorted for £20. Thanks Readview, again..............

didnt you think just to put a piece of wire to the window motor to the battery?

No I didn't TBH. I just went for the easy option.

Yes, thanks for that. It's the second time that it's happened, as laser did exactly the same.

For £20 it won't be happening again, good price they are £100 new !

The 'new' switch is badly worn, but all 4 windows work now, so that's the main thing. TBH, the garage didn't want paying as I spend as lot there, but I paid £20 as I never expect freebies.
