Afternoon guys,

Just working my way through my mot fail sheet and need a pair of wishbones for my 850R. Im having trouble tracking the correct parts down and can remember reading somewere that the R had the heavy duty wishbones fitted when new. Is this correct or will any old wishbones do?

These are the ones im looking at http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_535&products_id=3389

Are they the right ones?

Volvo themselves are quite reasonable for the part, mine cost 90 quid all in for one

The difference between the suspension arms is how they bolt to the engine subframe. The standard ones use two bolts and the diesel/R/AWD ones use four bolts. See pic below

TBH both are readily available, just the 4 bolt ones are a pain as the gearbox and engine get in the way of the bolt heads, which means you have to get the spanners out :(

Forgot about those, yeah they were for the early 850's. Not sure if you can still get them would have thought they would have been superseded by the all in one wishbone.

i think the early version was only fitted 1992-1993 , then they became the all in one type. you cant buy the frame for one with a detachable ball joint anymore. - we list them in case there are any still out there.
