After swapping a battery my cd player came up with a CODE and I don`t seem to have it in the paperwork.Other than going to the steelers for about £30 is there anywhere else I can get it?

My dealer did it for free, i think they all are.

Yup, I too phoned a local dealer when I got my V70 last year and said I had just bought the car and the radio was saying code. The very nice lady asked for the car reg, looked it up and told me the code.

The V70R should be ok then.My s70r has gone into CODE as well but the radio is different from original.Can they still get one for that.

I'm guessing that they probably won't have the code unless you know the reg of the car it came out of unfortunately.

You might need the V5 but I wasn't charged for mine.

yes thay can- you need to take the unit in out of the car as you need to cross reference with a spreadsheet. the numbers they enter are not the one always on the unit.

it should be free- any dealer charging is taking the mick!
