Red block = cast iron used on rwd volvos 240 740 760 940 etc 4clyinder 8v head with the exception on a n/a 16v head on some 740/940
White block= alloy block used in later cars 850 v70 s/v40 etc

Redblocks have been known to take 500 bhp on standard Internals and 400bhp regular power .

Lol very true.but I will say something this forum helps him and he reads alot .and when he is older he will make us all look like first timers with what he knows already .all I have to say is watch this space lol .
