View Full Version : Machining for free rotation of forged rods?

Just been reading through the web and came across a post of some one needing the bottom of the bores needing machining for free rotation of the rods any one else had this issue.

they do on early blocks, JT had to get it done on his

Well there will only be one answer when there fitted i will do a trial run with out fitting the goo but james had a very very very eairly block and didnt have problems i think its down to the rods people use the bloke i read about used ths rods

I think it also depends on what make of rods you get.

so if you don't mind me asking, who's rods are you using and are they the same as James's ?

Their dons rods and should be same as james so should have a good answer when im done

JT's was a 1994 block with Volvo RIP kit as standard
