Volans Colour Change Done

After much debate, I decided to put my Volans back to near original colour. Too many chavvy cars with dark rims in my neck of the woods for my liking! £160 for all 4 corners.

Lovely job too.

Roof rail refit next! I'll pop some better pics up once the weather improves!

The chap at the wheel place made it up from my description. He said its close to what volvo use on the newer cars.

I know that gang well. Had them done 3 times since 06! 1st time, the Mrs drive into a kerb a matter of weeks after! Arrgghhhh.

I think sprayed is better than powder coating, I just prefer the finish.

I'm having my comets sprayed a dark silver for that very same reason, all the kids have grey.
Those wheels look well though, so tempting to have a change of wheel also.

Yeh I see what you mean Biff. When these beauties first came out, Anthrasite was unique! Now most manufacturers have jumped on the band wagon closely followed by the kids. No offence to guys on here with darker rims but I personally thought my Volans were being masked by the dark green of the car. I'm chuffed to bits with them and they now subtlety stand out from the car.

I myself have had my wheels painted grey over the years but my mum has a Toyota Auris hybrid with grey wheels. Me & my spray painter mate are thinking outside the box with what to blend with the silver but only certain shades would work with gay gold. Lol
