No good for me - I'll speak to a few of the East Anglia/Essex mob see if they fancy something more local ...

I'm interested, but only if there's decent parking. Are there 2 threads running on this? Thought I saw mention of a Chinese restaurant in Lozells.
Cheers, Chris.

Jellibaby has had to duck out on the organisation front, due to family commitments. I howver will be happy to sort it out. I wanna get a feel for where we'd like to go. Rose and Castle will almost certainly be traditional fayre (with a Y as they always do in these pubs) or something a bit more up beat like Chinese and Brum city centre. The pub thing will limit excursions afterwards, if you fancy a bop etc. Brum has more to offer in variety but I don't wanna make peeps feel obligated to anything other than a meal?
Discuss..

I'm in if the dates don't clash. Can't do the weekend of the 17th, and don't remember the date of the Rover meet, but I've got some of them staying with me I think. There's also an office xmas party, so hopefully it won't clash. Will ask the better half when dates are finalised :)

You stil dealing with this Wobbly? I dunno how busy the Rose & Castle would be around xmas time so we may need to be booking well in advance?

It all becomes clear now....last year at this time I was working down at Solihull on the Range Rover Sport project, and staying in Coombe Abbey. I used to eat each evening in the R&C, and remember one evening when leaving the car park was full of T5's. I will now have to find an issue that needs to be dealt with at Solihull or Castle Brom on the date of your night out........wheres that expenses form?????
