hi has anyone put one off the ebay chip in there ecu and are there any good i have got hold off a 2nd ecu and was thinking off putting a chip in it

But it wont make any difference at all over the rica you already have - so you'd be wasting your money.

this is a 2nd ecu that i have for the car and did not want to spend to much on it and that chip looks like it do the same job but for how good it is i do not no

I understand the process but I don't know what you expect to gain from one standard remap from RICA to this ebay chip.

I have also been looking at one of these for a manual. Options are either a remap running to £150 or one of these. I was going to go with the remap option as I'm not sure how much abuse my 19 year old baby can take, so a one size fits all chip might be pushing my luck... Has anyone actually used that brand before? Seems very cheap for something so important....

So if i was to get the manual version of this it is the same as a rica 304? has anyone on here done this?

Yeah I'd definitley be interested. Wouldn't I need a free flow pipe on for it though??

I take it your on about a down pipe if so the answer is no the off the shelf remaps are designed to work with the volvo standard parts

Sounds like it might be worth a roll of the dice then. I have a '94 with ODB1. What you thinkin James?? What exactly does it remap, i know it drops the torque limiter in 1st n 2nd and few other related tweaks. I guess I need to sort my boost issue first, but that's a job for another thred, I've hijacked this one enough. Sorry Mike.

Phil contact Ripsta on here he used a chip off ebay and had good results from it mate

I have a rica ecu for sale at the moment done by hlm. Paid 130 for it from thunderace. For an obd 2 car. Mine is odb 1.

Its for a manual.

Its your for 100 inc the postage.

my car is a auto so would not be any good
