Just bought an R badge which has adhesive tape on the back. Sticking it to my eggcrate grille, but in other peeps opinions, is the tape strong enough please? I would prefer to Araldite it as that stuff always works for me.

The R badge I am sure for the S60R has spokes on the back of it that allow you to clip it on?

Cheers for that. Mine's probably better on a flat surface like the tailgate, but I've bought it for the grille. I don't want it to drop off either at 20 odd quid.

It's a Volvo one and it was £23.50.

I would just place the badge where you like it and use araldite.
So whats a second hand T5-R badge worth if they have gone up to that price now?

Stick it on the boot then get a custom R one made for the grill centre :wavey:

Exactly what I have done. My sash and Volvo badge are also glued on with Araldite as the clip things all broke, and that's never budged. Leaving it overnight before putting it back on the car tomorrow.

Nice- let's see how long mine stays on the car. I will get one of those if/when it drops off. I obviously bought the wrong one. BTW, your car looks great, just in case you didn't realize!

Thank you Mark very kind of you :)

You would be better off buying the correct one and fitting it mate as it's only a matter of time before it falls off. You will find that there is hardly any grip for the glue. Good luck anyway! lol

This is my attempt, and the glue is starting to take. I'm leaving it overnight which is always best with Araldite. Photograph it tomorrow when back on the car.

It seems really well stuck on, and my T5 badge has never fallen off my C70 grille, which is also an Araldite job. Grille is back on the R and I hope to wash her soon, but I'll take it easy round the new R badge.

I did the same as you mark, I didn't realize at the time that the P2s had fancy clip on badges

Is yours still stuck on? My T5 badge on the C70 grille has been stuck on for nearly a year now with Araldite.
