oil cooler

just wondering if anyone has bypassed the factory oil cooler and put a seperate one on, im only asking cos mine is leaking still and after replacing the oil seal on the new pipes that are only 6 month old its still leaking and the oil thermostat ate the bottom, any ideas?

Quite a few pople have used universal oil coolers to good affects depending on what you do or buy if you buy a kit it should come with all pipe work needed but if you just buy a uprated cooler the pipe work will need altering to suit

yeah i cant fins a kit for the 850 unless i aint looked hard enough lol

This one uses a sandwich plate to fit where the oil filter is you oil pipes will need blanking off

Only problem i can see with some thing like this is weather there is enough room with the sub frame being in the way but just put it up for you to get a idea

sould it fit in the sump hole though i was thinking of useing the standard pipes but extending them to the oil cooler

no kit for the t5 lump cut and join is the way to do it mate that's wot I have done!

I just cut the ends off the pipes that go to the radiator and used hydraulic pipes into an oil cooler off a saab 95.
