s40 t4 heater blowing warm not hot.

Hi all, after changing the turbo and draining the water the heater is now only blowing warm where it used to blow really hot, I've bled it from the screw in the pipe and had it running whilst squeezing the top hose to try and release any air locks but it refuses to blow anything like as hot as it used to, any ideas? Cheers.

there will be an airlock - probably in the heater matrix. best to drive a few miles and keep checking it after every journey to see if the level suddenly drops. from experience, sometimes they can come out a couple of days after!

as this car shares the same thermostat as most others , is the top hose red hot? if it is taking more than 10 miles to warm up fully definately replace it with a genuine item.
