Hi all.

Due to the oe 12v 5W wedge bulbs in the tailgate cooking the bulb holders they had both cracked and the bulbs were just floating about not attached to the lens cap. So...

I purchased:

2 x lamp body part #9187153 £7.80 ea
1 x Harness part #9483494 £8.10.
2 x 12v 20SMT LED bulbs £2.49 (eBay inc postage)

Have to remove tailgate trim and wiper motor to fit but straight forward enough.

Here the results...

Thanks for the part numbers Lee. I have the same problem (probably a lot worse, as my tailgate is from a Y reg plod car) so there's a lot of tape and stuff holding it together lol.

Doesn't seem too expensive too :)

Did my car a while ago,but had its MOT yesterday did ask tester if I needed to remove them front markers - number plate lights leds comment was if they don't stand out as being wrong colour (blue tint) not a problem but on Hid lamps if they look blue he would fail it,those are volvo lamps still.

Rare for the LED's to go, and as for stopping you for one of your numberplate bulbs out.....every car round here only has one HEADLIGHT !

Well as I work in the Emergency Services I have to be careful, one should according to police check your bulbs, tyres etc at the start of each journey and replace ASAP. the other night I went out in an ambulance and the headlight went on the NS Front within 30 mins and we had to go back and get it fixed there and then or take another one out. I think your find that if you are involved in an accident which was caused by faulty lights the police will you use anything to prosecute you .
