Been studying machine polishing and found this and thought it might be handy for anyone planning to machine polish their Volvo.

It's a chart that Polish bliss use to know what grade of Polish to use, I think it's wrong BTW, the new Volvo have intermediate paint but I think the p1s are pretty hard

the list is dated November 2009 just gives you a clue to what grade of cut you can use

Soft paint
intermediate paint
and hard paint
maybe your comp is not opening the file correctly?

Bare in mind your C70 is hard paint then

Well now i am confused shows on the list volvo up to 2009 intermediate paint..........
wish i hadn't put it up now....lol
but i agree with you C70's are Hard!

Well I know my p2 C70 had much softer paint than my saffy, I'm yet to da the p2r but I have a fealing it will be quite hard like the P1

I've detailed 2 BMW's in the past and they're paint was similar to the saffy

I find my P1 silver metallic to be very hard.

I have wet and dried some blemishes on the bonnet with 3000 grit and still havent managed to completely polish out the dullness (either that or I have bu66ered my bonnet!). Too cold at the mo to get back on it!
