Few jobs done.

Nothing major, just all the niggly little things e.g. half the bulbs in the radio blown and
a couple of switches. I orderd 12v wired ended bulbs from a guy on Ebay.

Radio was real easy to do, remove 6 screws and the volume knob, couple of clips and
you end up with this......

Bulbs are easy to remove and replace.

Next on the job list was the lower tie bar bushes as these were in real bad shape.
Dont have pics of the old bushes before I burnt them out.

Worst part was burning out the old bushes, otherwise quick and easy to do.
Wish I'd had time to paint the brackets though!

Jimmy, the radio's fine. I just couldn't see some of the buttons in the dark. Lol

Nice, I'm thinking of refurbing the whole subframe & components at the same time, so will need these. Anyone know what the difference between the subframe on the R is to the T5? The lower arms on the R don't have any options for polybushing and I go through them, so would be a good mod if poss?!? May start this in another thread....

Another job done today, I replaced the heater matrix. Passanger side carpet was a little damp.
The matrix it's self looked ok, but the o'rings were a little past sell by date :)
Replaced both matrix and o'rings.

Top tip - buy decent hose clamps, spent more time trying to clamp hoses than the actual job.
Laser hose clamps from Halfords are too small for the heater hoses.

Just to try and help those that want to change there Matrix........you don`t have to clamp the hoses in the engine compartment.

Just leave the reservoir cap on tight and when you come to pull off the matrix from the pipes inside the car just have a large black bin liner under the actual pipes and only 1 litre of coolant will go into the bag from the matrix........no messy water to clean up.
