I had an intermittent starting problem with my t5
After hours of diagnosing, found the problem

Fuel return pipe bent and closed up on top of engine left side of injector cover
causing it to flood
replaced with new pipe.problem solved.
Its been a month since and still no problems.

was not the metal pipe, but the rubber one on top left side of fuel rail.It had closed up and perished.

Take it you've not done your pcv then? Done 2 now and both times the pipe has split whilst trying to get it off the metal pipe.

Wouldn't the throttle body get in the way? (I believe the PCV is under the inlet manifold)
