Hi all, im due to send my M58 box to someone in cumbria. But im not sure who to use for the transportation.

Do i need to put it on a pallet??? I can physically lift it ok, but im guessing it'll be against health and safety for the drivers to lift etc. So im wondering if i need to pallet it, whats costs are, what the rouggh weight is and any advice on the whole prepping it for dispatch would be greatly recieved

I used these guys to transport a gearbox from Sheffield to Tadley, cost about £35, but that was a couple of years ago.

I notice on this site the do gear boxes for £35 providing its under 40kg..... Im pretty sure a Volvo gear box is alot more than that.

I never saw it, as it was sent directly to the garage that fitted it, but it wasn't on a pallet, just sent loose.
