4.4 or ME7, what's it had done to it - map etc.....

How loud, when did it start, injectors can make a 'ticking noise' but then so can bent rods

any change in performance?

does it have a dual mass flywheel?
if so, could be that, gets 'loose' once warmed up and can sound a bit rattley.

If its the flywheel just press down the clutch pedal if it stop the noise you have found the problem

it could be the water pump or tentioners ? mine has just packed in and is making a regular type noise now ( a sort of ticking / whining noise gonna do the w/pump today hopefully plus tensioners + belt , will let you know if it stops this :)
