Hi All,

I've been looking on the internet and can;t seem to get a defined answer on this.

Please point me in the right direction though.

What is the difference between the 02 sensor and the Lamba sensor?
Where are they located in the car?
And can i replace them or do i need a garage to do it?

Thanks in advance
Andy

1) nothing, its just another description for the same sensor
2) on (most) 850's you'll just have the 1 pre-cat in the exhaust pipe
3) yes you can, they can be a nightmare to remove tho because of the heat-cold cycle they go thru

if it has got 2, one will be pre-cat the other post-cat. Can't see it having 2 on that tho (no offence), even T-5's only have one, think its 850R's that had 2

my 850 T-5's only got one, but i remember Liam's S70 having 2. I'm sure there was an 850 that had 2 as well

I'm quite sure my V70R 1998 only has one??! Sure I just blanked the position for the post cat in my 3inch downpipe?

Yes it did and the stupid bloody 2nd one wasn't even "post" cat but right at the front of the cat. So when i wanted a sports cat fitting, as the fitting on the sports cat was at the back, the bloody sensor wouldn't reach.
