Hi all.
I had a chat with one of our drivers today, he told me he was racing 740 / 760s years back.
Well I believe it was years back.
Now he told me him and his friends used rubber inserts on the rear ( and front ) springs
To harden the suspension without lowering the vehicle.
Would anyone on here know about this system and if it is still available to purchase .
Especially where from ?

I believe they're called "spring assistors" and are available on evil-bay.

Tans guys.
As these parts still exist and used for caravan towing, is it recommending to get a pair ?
Thinking about as fandango said it was used for caravan towing.
As I have one of these .... caravans ( sad I know ) I'm now thinking about.

Probably better to get some nivomats tbh, or HD rear springs if you tow alot.

Nivomats are yes. You'll need Nivomat shocks, matching springs (they are alot softer than regular springs) & correct rear top mounts for the shocks to convert to them

If you have a P2, I have springs and will shortly have Nivomats up for grabs too.

You could just get some heavy duty rear springs, be cheaper than a pair of nivomats

I googled for that. Didn't find anything for v70 p1.
Unless going for ford and other models,
Then - I have to get the old ones out first and get the size to order.
Shockers too ?

Parts For Volvo have a regular stock order with IPD, so may be worth contacting them first.
