Recently had an oil leak on my 850T5 - recommended by friend to go to main dealer as he can't identify the leak. Anyone know a good independent in the London SW20 area ?

If the oil leak is on the rear of the engine passenger side first suspect is the turbo oil return pipe. This is a fairly cheap repair and if you have some skill and equipment you should be able to manage it yourself.
Another culprit on the T5 is the oil filler cap, the seal hardens and the oil gets past it and runs down the block, there is often a pool of oil concealed by the cover bearing the legend 20 valve. Simple to remove and check and only a few quid to fix.
If it isn't these the last prime suspect is the crankshaft end oil seal :(
If it is this it will get progressively worse and the bottom of the car will get more and more oil on it until you can see it in the rear view mirror. This is a big job and entails taking the gearbox out. If the car is manual have the clutch done at the same time as it will likely be contaminated and the labour charge is the same (approx 6.5 hrs).
Can't recommend anyone in that area but I am sure someone will be able to help.
Best of luck.
P.S. I have had all these leaks but mine is now oil tight.
